The Inklings:

Collaborative Worldbuilding & Storytelling

We’re seeking an adventurous group of young creators to help us pilot a new creative program!

The Inklings is a program for young people who love exercising their imagination and creativity, are interested in storytelling and roleplaying games and are looking to connect with friends who share their interests.

Creativity can often be a very isolating pursuit- but working together on a creative team to pursue a common goal can be a massively rewarding experience!

Young people aged 11 - 14 will work with an instructor and their teammates to construct a world and storyline for a D&D-lite oneshot adventure that’s excellent for both new players and new Dungeon Masters.

The adventure will ultimately be packaged for the group to be able to run for their own families and friends!

(NOTE: This program is currently in its pilot stage. The members of our first cohort will work directly with Jess Monsey, founder and owner of The Paladins League, to provide input on the program and help us make it as awesome as it can be!)

Important details:

  • We organize our clubs in semesters in order to provide the opportunity for consistent attendance, team bonding and the social benefits that come from a sense of shared purpose.

  • Sessions are two hours long, once per week, on Wednesdays.

  • Attendees in 6th grade and up are always welcome to show up early and do homework prior to when game play begins.

  • This program is intended for young creative people who are eager to work with others on a shared creative project. If your child has a lot of difficulty engaging, sharing or compromising with others- or if they need intensive, individualized attention- this program will not be a good fit.
